Over twenty five years, I’ve created quite a collection of art. Of the hundreds of paintings I’ve done, a small percentage have become limited edition prints. I’ve had two publishers Wild Wings and Applejack who published limited editions of my work. I have also published my own editions. Some of these editions were published as lithographs and some were published as giclees.
Though I was trained in art school to do hand pulled serigraphs and intaglio etchings, I find that giclees are a much easier way to create reproductions. I create my own giclees, which means they are printed in house under my scrutiny. These giclees are printed with archival inks on archival paper. Editions are all signed and numbered and vary from as low as 50 to as high 350. Each edition usually has a small number of Artist’s Proofs - usually 10% of the regular edition size, although the very small edition sizes may have 10 - 25 Artisit's proofs.
Edition sizes vary as do prices. The smaller the edition, the higher the price. the larger the image size, the higher the price. All orices below are for unframed prints shipped in an archival sleeve.
