This grand old buffalo stands on a ridge in Yellowstone National Park with a looming thunder storm in the background. Doing those thunder clouds was quite a challenge to do in watercolor. It required many subtle shades of washes each with blending of clear water washes. Eventually I built up all the shades and hues until it looked thunderous.
