I painted this wolf in a totally innocent and vunerable looking position. it seems to be a constant tendancy for me. I realize that wildlife are wild, but most of the time they live lives in mellower states - like the ones I portray. The typical bold and aggressive images of wildlife that most wildlife artists portray is just too dramatic for me because it doesn't represent the wildlife I experience.
This was a pleasant scene in the Marble Mountain Wilderness, Siskiyou County.
